China and India are gearing up for the 25th round of Special Representatives’ Talks concerning their boundary issues, as confirmed by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun. During a routine press conference on Tuesday, Guo highlighted that both nations are in ongoing discussions about border matters and are dedicated to implementing the agreements concluded in the previous round of talks.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is currently visiting New Delhi to participate in the 16th Meeting of BRICS National Security Advisors and High Representatives on National Security. In line with this visit, Wang engaged in discussions with Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval on Monday, furthering diplomatic dialogue between the two countries.
Guo emphasized that the overall situation along the China-India border remains stable, with communication channels between the two sides functioning effectively. He also mentioned that both countries are actively working on the consensus reached during the 24th round of boundary discussions, aiming to maintain stability and resolve ongoing border issues.
The forthcoming talks are anticipated to continue the efforts focused on managing the border disputes and ensuring peace along the frontier. The dialogue reflects the commitment of both nations to foster a cooperative and peaceful approach in addressing their boundary challenges.
