Rahul Gandhi’s Comments on Amit Shah Spark Uproar in Lok Sabha

In a fiery session of the Lok Sabha, tensions flared as Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition, accused Union Home Minister Amit Shah of authorizing force against students protesting the NEET paper leak. Gandhi’s assertion that pellet guns were used against the demonstrators at the directive of top officials provoked a strong backlash from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The allegations prompted Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju to demand that Gandhi provide evidence for his claims. Describing the accusations as unfounded and urging their removal from the official record, Rijiju also called for an apology from Gandhi. He emphasized the seriousness of making such allegations without concrete proof.

The discourse took a more contentious turn when Gandhi criticized the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), using language deemed “unparliamentary” by Speaker Om Birla. These remarks were subsequently expunged from the official parliamentary proceedings, highlighting the escalating political friction related to the NEET paper leak controversy.

The exchange underscores the ongoing political discord surrounding the NEET issue, with both sides entrenched in their positions amid the controversy. As the debate continues, the demand for accountability and transparency in addressing the paper leak remains a central concern for the opposition.
