Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated 25 years of uninterrupted public service with an address at the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha’ in New Delhi on Wednesday. During the event, he expressed gratitude to citizens and party workers for their support and reiterated his vision of transforming India into a developed nation by 2047.
Reflecting on his political journey, which began on October 7, 2001, when he assumed the role of Chief Minister of Gujarat, Modi acknowledged the role of both supporters and critics in shaping his career. He credited the trust and support of the people as his major source of strength, stating, “Those who brought me down taught me how to rise again.”
Modi emphasized the importance of collective efforts and self-reliance to achieve India’s goal of becoming one of the world’s top three economies. He urged citizens to work together towards the nation’s development by the 100th anniversary of its independence in 2047.
In his address, the Prime Minister expressed profound appreciation for the citizens, whom he described as his greatest strength, and acknowledged the contributions of BJP workers. “For me, people are God,” he said, underscoring his commitment to serving humanity and promoting national progress.
Additionally, Modi shared his ongoing passion for learning, recalling his school days in Vadnagar and describing himself as a perpetual student. He highlighted the importance of continuous learning throughout his public career.
The Prime Minister also highlighted India’s advancements in aviation, citing the courage of Indian pilot Smit Machchhar during an incident involving a flydubai flight as an example of the country’s growing capabilities. He expressed confidence that the world would one day see aircraft manufactured in India.
Concluding his address, Modi called for continued collective efforts to realize the vision of a developed and self-reliant India by 2047, reinforcing his commitment to the nation’s progress.
