CJP’s Dipke Ridicules PM Modi’s Video Promoting Anti-Paper Leak Legislation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent selfie-style video, celebrating the approval of the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026, has sparked criticism from Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke. In the video, Modi hailed the new legislation as a significant advancement towards a reliable examination system and pledged stringent measures against the “paper mafia” responsible for exam leaks.

Responding to the Prime Minister’s announcement, Dipke took to social media to express his disapproval. He not only mocked Modi’s appearance in the video but also questioned the effectiveness of stricter laws in addressing the persistent issue of exam paper leaks. According to Dipke, the focus should shift from merely punishing offenders to preventing the leaks from happening in the first place.

The CJP has been vocal about its concerns regarding the new bill, arguing that it primarily emphasizes punitive measures rather than addressing the root causes of the problem. The party has called for comprehensive structural reforms to ensure the integrity of the examination process. This includes advocating for greater transparency and substantial changes to the operations of the National Testing Agency (NTA).

The debate over the legislation highlights a broader discussion on how to effectively tackle exam paper leaks, which have been a recurring issue. While the government views the amendment as a solution to uphold credibility in the examination system, critics like Dipke believe that a more holistic approach is necessary, one that combines enforcement with preventive strategies.
