PM Modi to Flag Off Four New Vande Bharat Express Trains on November 8

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate four new Vande Bharat Express trains on November 8 during his visit to Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. The new routes—Banaras-Khajuraho, Lucknow-Saharanpur, Firozpur-Delhi, and Ernakulam-Bengaluru—aim to enhance connectivity, reduce travel time, and strengthen tourism and economic growth across key regions of India.
Banaras–Khajuraho Vande Bharat Express:
This train will connect Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, reducing travel time by nearly 2 hours and 40 minutes. It will link major religious and cultural destinations such as Varanasi, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot, and Khajuraho, providing pilgrims and tourists with a fast and comfortable journey to the UNESCO World Heritage site.
Lucknow–Saharanpur Vande Bharat Express:
Covering the journey in about 7 hours and 45 minutes, this train will connect central and northwestern Uttar Pradesh. It will benefit passengers from Lucknow, Sitapur, Bareilly, Moradabad, and Saharanpur while also improving access to Haridwar via Roorkee.
Firozpur–Delhi Vande Bharat Express:
The fastest train on this route, it will complete the journey in just 6 hours and 40 minutes. The service will strengthen ties between the national capital and key Punjab cities like Firozpur, Bathinda, and Patiala, boosting trade, tourism, and employment across the border regions.
Ernakulam–Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express:
Connecting Kerala’s Ernakulam with Bengaluru, the train will complete the route in 8 hours and 40 minutes—cutting travel time by over 2 hours. It will improve travel for professionals, students, and tourists between major IT and commercial hubs, supporting regional collaboration across Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka.
The new Vande Bharat trains reflect India’s ongoing push for modern, efficient, and high-speed rail connectivity, aimed at transforming intercity travel and supporting regional development.
